- After a little comparision shopping I bought a ModemSURFR 28.8 . The difference
- between the MS and the Lifestyle as far as I can tell is this:
- 1) the Lifestyle supports 'distinctive' ring (for voice, computer, or fax calls)
- the MS doesn't
- 2) the Lifestyle has Motorola chips
- the MS has AT&T chips
- 3) the Lifestyle supports Class1 fax software
- the MS supports Class 1 & 2 fax software
- 4) the Lifestyle can retain settings for different users (I don't know for how
- many)
- the Ms doesn't
- The only reason I chose the MS over the lifestyle is because I got it thru a
- local distributor for $150. The Lifestyle was $165 for some reason (you'd think
- the discontinued model would be cheaper right?).
- I've had the ModemSURFR for 3 weeks now and I've got no complaints whatsoever.
- It's a vast improvement over my old Boca (gasp) 14.4
